Tip of the Day: Crack a Smile

by Eubie on June 20, 2013

Some (more expensive) things just aren’t worth the added price. In this category, we’d place clothes, cars, homes, nearly anything that comes with a surcharge for the designer label. Other things are, like toilet paper. Yep, this is a product on which you should not scrimp. And yes, we’re speaking from personal experience. Use the low-cost brand at your own peril. The cheapie TP is usually made from a combination of recycled razor blades and ground glass… at least, it feels that way. The good stuff, on the other hand, is made of cumulous clouds, bunny tails, and the delightful laughter of children. How to know which is which? Price is a factor, but not the only one. It is possible to find decent ass-wipe material at a reasonable cost. And that’s where we come in… or rather, Consumer Reports comes in. This repackaged offering from the Yahoo! Shopping page gives you a few offerings of the best brands at the most affordable prices, along with suggestions on where to look. If this piques your enthusiasm for product ratings, though, you’ll have to sign up for a subscription to Consumer Reports, which offers very affordable monthly ($6.95) and yearly ($30) options.
