Tip of the Day: (Don’t) Make and Keep a New Year’s Resolution

by Eubie on January 1, 2014

Somewhere we read (and now can’t find) an article that said all New Year’s resolutions do is set you up for failure. Better to try to daily reaffirm a commitment to achieving some goal in 2014. What’s the difference? Well, with the former, you’re likely to fail, but with the latter, failure is not an option. Not exactly. Yes, you could fail to daily reaffirm your commitment, but doing the daily work is the resolution, not achieving the goal. Anyway, you think about it for a minute or two and it will come to you. Good luck, and Happy New Year!
