Tip of the Day: Flexitarianism

by Eubie on March 4, 2014

In our ongoing effort to stay on the cutting edge of food culture, we bring you today’s tip about the latest diet craze (which, apparently, is less a ‘craze’ and more a common sense way to approach filling your belly): flexitarianism. In brief, this portmanteau is a mashup of ‘flexible’ and ‘vegetarian,’ and as you might’ve already surmised, it references an overall vegetarian approach to eating, with the occasional animal food product thrown in to keep all you meat lovers sane. Should you choose to invest in making this eating lifestyle change, you can expect to lose weight–you’re only getting 1,500 calories a day–and see your health improve (because you’ll be eating ‘fresh,’ healthy foods rather than processed crap).
